Part Time Access Specialist - Houston, TX

Cenikor is a non-profit organization and one of the largest substance abuse treatment centers in the nation. We are currently seeking a Part-Time Access Center Specialist for our corporate office in Houston, TX 77079. Bilingual Preferred.


Responsible for providing information (by phone) and supporting all strategies of admissions to ensure an efficient process for those who seek treatment with Cenikor Foundation.

  1. 1.  Answer phones and provide program information to the general public while maintaining strict confidentiality on all client and Foundation matters and referring questionable issues to supervisor.
  2. Responsible for collecting initial information and conducting initial screenings on potential clients in accordance with state regulations and third party payors, as it applies to financial reimbursement.
  3. Answers customer/client requests or inquiries concerning admission.
  4. Work and communicate with all admissions or facility staff in regards to scheduling and appointment confirmation or cancellations.
  5. Work and communicate with other corporate office staff, such as insurance billing and accounting, to ensure appropriate access to services and accurate funding for clients.
  6. Utilize the Cenikor client database (Client Information Database, CID) to ensure all client information is entered in an accurate and timely manner.
  7. Conduct follow-up phone calls and maintain follow-up outcomes through client contact and documentation.
  8. Develop and maintain initial client and department files.
  9. Perform additional duties as assigned and consistent with the non-exempt functions as defined in this job description.

  8. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software required, including specific MS Outlook calendar experience.

  • High School Diploma or GED


  • Six months or more experience in a call center, front office,or admissions environment preferred.
