Outreach Manager - Baton Rouge, LA

Cenikor Foundation is a non-profit organization and one of the largest substance abuse treatment centers in the nation. We are currently seeking an Outreach Manager for our long-term inpatient facility in Baton Rouge, LA.

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for marketing Cenikor’s family of services to constituents such as the criminal justice system, healthcare systems, EAPs, unions, companies, clinics, other substance abuse treatment facilities, community organization, learning centers and other referral sources.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Cultivate positive relationships with new and existing contacts through scheduled meetings and events, including surveys and luncheons. 
  2. Work closely with the Director of Business Development and Outreach to research new referral sources, conferences or events to participate in and raise awareness of Cenikor in the community.
  3. Conduct presentations with judges, attorneys, probation and parole departments, Department of Human Services, hospitals and other drug treatment facilities, such as to drive referrals to the Cenikor continuum of care.
  4. Complete preliminary screenings and interviews of potential residents involved in the justice system.
  5. Provide testimony when necessary in court proceedings as to Cenikor’s programs and services.
  6. Day and/or overnight travel throughout geographic region to market all Cenikor programs.
  7. Provide clients with referrals to appropriate agencies as needed.
  8. Act as a community resource to referral partners.
  9. Represent Cenikor in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
  10. Work closely with Facility Director to uphold the core principles of Cenikor’s culture and contribute to a positive working environment for all team members.
  11. Maintain strict confidentiality on all client and foundation matters and refer questionable issues to your supervisor.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned and consistent with the exempt functions as defined in this job description.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:

  • Ability to present a professional, positive image that reflects well on the organization.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software required, including specific MS Outlook calendar experience.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor degree in Social Services, Business or other closely related field preferred.

Experience:

  • Two (2) years of experience in outreach or a related field preferred.

 Licensure Required:

  • Counselor-In-Training (CIT) preferred.
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Must have the ability to receive clearance to enter local jails and law enforcement facilities.
