Building Maintenance - Baton Rouge, LA

Cenikor Foundation is a non-profit organization and one of the largest substance abuse treatment centers in the nation. We are currently seeking a Program Coordinator I in our long-term inpatient Baton Rouge, Louisiana location.  


Program Coordinator I will be responsible for the physical plant, vehicles and transportation, food services and other duties as assigned.  Responsible for ensuring residents understand and comply with the standards and operational procedures of the program.


  1. Oversee physical plant operations to ensure current compliance with regulatory standards.
  2. Coordinate activities with facility staff to ensure efficient facility operations twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
  3. Enforce program policies and guidelines, including therapeutic community concepts, as outlined by Facility Director and Program Manager II.
  4. Oversee Food Services Department to include: food ordering, meal planning, adherence to facility food budget, coordination of menus with the facility dietician, and compliance with all applicable guidelines established by the local health authorities in preparation and service of food products. 
  5. Oversee vehicle maintenance process to ensure effective and efficient use of Foundation resources.
  6. Interface with the Business Manager on day-to-day operating expenses.
  7. Coordinate the transportation process to ensure compliance to facility standards.
  8. Work closely with Facility Director to uphold the core principles of Cenikor’s culture and contribute to a positive working environment for all team members.
  9. Participate in the facility Quality Assurance program.
  10. Maintain strict confidentiality on all client and foundation matters and refer questionable issues to your supervisor.
  11. Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned and consistent with the exempt functions as defined in this job description.


Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Knowledgeable of vehicle and physical plant maintenance and operations.
  • Knowledgeable in therapeutic community operations and concepts.
  • Knowledgeable about substance abuse treatment, prevention and aftercare.
  • Ability to lead by established goals and objectives.
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills.
  • Possesses good time management skills needed to meet aggressive deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Good ethical and business standards.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software required, including specific MS Outlook calendar experience.

  • High School Diploma or GED required


  • Minimum of one year experience with therapeutic communities preferred. 
  • Previous experience with physical plant, vehicle maintenance and food services preferred.


  • Food manager permit as required by state regulations
